Andrew Goodfellow knows from hard experience that when it\u2019s time to go, it\u2019s really time to go. He and his dog were lucky to escape a sudden fireball that was coming towards Andrew\u2019s property as the Kian Road fire approached. They had to navigate through virtually complete darkness for kilometres to make their way out.<\/p>\n

Thankfully, they both made it out unscathed, but sadly Andrew\u2019s home, which was settled amongst a magnificent rainforest, was destroyed.<\/p>\n

Andrew is currently living with friends in a neighbouring town, until insurance and local relief efforts are put into place.\u00a0\u201cEverything takes so long, you almost forget what it is like living there,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n

But Andrew is resilient, and he\u2019s getting on with things. He drives the local school bus, and spends countless hours volunteering at local relief centres, divvying out supplies to other people in the community who need all the help they can get.<\/p>\n

Davey\u2019s donation will be connected to his water tank to establish water supply to his home once it is built.<\/p>\n
