About Us

In 1990, BP Solar opened in Coffs Harbour, New South Wales, laying the groundwork for what would become a cornerstone in the region's water solutions. A decade later, in July 2000, the Graetz family acquired the business, rebranding it as North Coast Power and Water (NCP+W). This transition marked the beginning of a new era, blending corporate expertise with family-owned values.

Over 25 years, NCP+W has transformed into a comprehensive provider of water, irrigation, power and pool solutions led by Director Brendan Graetz. NCP+W's success can be attributed to their clear vision, hands-on experience, and a commitment to delivering long-term value to customers across agricultural, trade and residential markets. The local community ranging fromfarmers, homeowners and trade customers - rely on more than just pumps and filters. They depend on seamless installations, practical advice, and responsive after-sales service.

“The reliability of Davey products gives us peace of mind,” Brendan reflects, “We know that when we supply a Davey product, our customers are getting a durable, high-performance solution that we can stand behind.”

NCP+W’s portfolio of projects showcases a breadth of experience and creative application of Davey solutions. On a 25-hectare raspberry and blackberry farm, one of the largest private horticultural developments in the region, the NCP+W team designed and delivered a powerful irrigation system using twin Davey VM90 1MLV pump sets and an ISO pump to draw water from a flowing river. And in true NCP+W fashion, even remote setups are met with tailored solutions. “We utilised the Davey Remote Start Firefighting Pump to irrigate a magnolia tree plantation using solar power. It was designed as an interim solution, but it’s been so reliable that the client never replaced it.” The North Coast region of ongoing growth and opportunity—and NCP+W is right at the heart of it. Their involvement in complex irrigation projects, utilising wireless valve control and remote monitoring systems emphasises a push toward smarter farming. With the rise of energy-efficient pool heating, and remote management systems, the team is also seeing demand accelerate in the residential market. Their adaptability and confidence in modern tech give them an edge in a highly competitive landscape. NCP+W is embracing the future with clarity and capability, grounded in the trust they’ve built—both with their customers and with the Davey brand. NCP+W is scaling with purpose, making each installation count and building customer relationships that last.
