Warranty Summary

  • Standard Warranty: 3 years from date of purchase
  • Extended Warranty: Up to 5 years total, if serviced in Year 3 by a registered Davey Service Agent
  • Coverage Area: Wet end of the pump only
  • Engine Warranty: Covered separately by engine manufacturers

What’s Covered

Under normal operating conditions, Davey warrants its Firefighter® pump wet ends against defects in materials and workmanship for:

  • 3 Years from the original date of purchase
  • 5 Years, when the pump is serviced between the start of Year 2 and end of Year 3 by a registered Davey Service Agent, and proof of service is retained

Engine Warranty Details:

  • Honda GX engines: 3-year Honda manufacturer warranty
  • Honda GP engines: 1-year Honda manufacturer warranty
  • Yanmar diesel engines: 1-year Yanmar manufacturer warranty

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the standard or extended warranty all eligible firefighters must be purchased through an Authorised Davey Dealer or Reseller (For purchases made on or after 1 July 2025)

To receive the extended 5-year coverage, the pump must be:

  • Serviced between Year 2 and Year 3
  • Serviced by a registered Davey Service Agent
  • Accompanied by proof of that service at the time of any future claim.

  • Yanmar diesel engines

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

  • Wear and tear from normal use
  • Damage caused by:
    • Miss, neglect, incorrect installation
    • Environmental exposure (e.g., lightning, high voltage, saline/sandy water)
    • Modifications or unauthorised repairs

Third-party components or consumables (Davey will assist with accessing third-party warranties)

How to Make a Warranty Claim

Important Notes

  • Refurbished units or components may be used during service
  • Davey is not responsible for data loss during repairs
  • Davey is not liable for indirect or consequential loss unless required under local law

Your Rights

Under Australian Consumer Law – this warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a refund or replacement for major product failures and to have your product repaired or replaced if it fails to meet acceptable quality standards.

What Constitutes a service:

  • To Maintain proper functionality and longevity of your firefighter pump Davey recommends regular flushing of the pump with clean water.
  • Inspection / replacement of wear rings if performance drops or priming becomes difficult.
  • Full seal kit replacement between year 2 & 3 years
