Protect your pool and reduce chlorine consumption by up to half

Ideal for outdoor chlorinated and salt water pools, AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector (also referred to as sunscreen) is a fast-dissolving powder which, when added to your pool water, protects the chlorine from the sun’s harmful UV rays thereby reducing chlorine consumption by up to 50%.

How does it work?

AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector helps protect chlorine in pool water by forming a temporary bond with chlorine, helping shield it from UV rays, so it lasts longer.

Without this protection, chlorine can break down more quickly when exposed to the sun, reducing its ability to keep the pool clean, clear and safe.

Why use it?

  • It extends the lifespan of chlorine, allowing it to continuously combat bacteria, algae and other contaminants

  • This means you’ll require less frequent chlorine additions, leading to cost savings and reduced chemical consumption

How do I use it?

  • We recommend mixing AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector in a bucket of water before adding it to your pool

  • Once mixed, add slowly and directly to the skimmer while the pump is running

Dosage rate

Make sure you regularly test your pool water’s AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector/Sunscreen levels using a reliable test kit. Aim to keep concentration within the ideal range of 30 – 50pmm range for outdoor pools. This will ensure chlorine protection without compromising its effectiveness.

AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector is also available in easy-to-use tablets

Important

  • Do not use AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector/Sunscreen in an indoor pool or spa
  • Do not exceed the recommended level of AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector as over-stabilisation can hinder chlorine’s sanitising ability and lead to algae growth and water quality issues. If levels become too high partial water replacement is necessary to restore the desired range
  • In the event you have excessively high AquaPure Chlorine UV Protector/Sunscreen levels, dilute the pool by draining and refilling a portion of it with fresh water. This will help restore proper balance and maintain chlorine efficacy
