Microlene Carbon Block and Granular Activated Carbon filters (GAC) are very effective combination cartridges, capable of fulfilling the dual roles of filtration and purification reducing:

- Giardia and Cryptosporidium cysts (99.9% effective for 0.5 micron rated cartridges)
Silver impregnated water filter cartridges are bacteriostatic to inhibit bacteria growth within the cartridge.
